A premium price does not certify engineering quality. Ask for documents, commission independent inspections and distinguish decorative upgrades from waterproofing, structural protection and maintainable systems.

  1. Compare the approved permit and plans with what is built.
  2. Hire an independent building inspector.
  3. Request exact material and finish specifications.
  4. Check terrace, roof and bathroom waterproofing.
  5. Test acoustic comfort and window seals.
  6. Verify ventilation and service access to air-conditioning.
  7. Check electrical and plumbing records.
  8. Confirm the approved protected room, doors and windows against Home Front Command guidance.
  9. Read contractor warranty and defect-remedy procedures.
  10. Examine shared lifts, building systems and upkeep planning.

Israel’s Home Front Command prioritizes a compliant in-home protected room or other approved protective space. A room labelled “mamad” is not proof of compliance or immunity from harm.
